Showcasing the latest in Lexus design, the new RX features a more sophisticated signature grille, sleeker triple LED headlights and ‘L’ motif rear LED lights. Viewed from the side, distinctive blacked-out and chrome framed C-pillars provide a unique floating-roof effect.

Exclusive seats feature ‘integrated foaming’ for additional lateral support, while aluminium inlays complement the beautifully crafted steering wheel, inspired by that of our iconic LFA supercar. Finished in perforated leather, the F SPORT gearshift design matches the steering wheel and completes the air of sportiness in the cabin, along with the aluminium sports pedals.

Monitoring temperatures inside and outside, breakthrough ‘Climate Concierge’ automatically adjusts cabin, seat and steering wheel temperatures. Sensors track the body temperature of rear seat passengers, adjusting air conditioning and seat heating. Additionally, nanoe® technology releases particles into the cabin, purifying the air, with a moisturising effect on skin and hair.

Standard on all RX models, the practical 40:20:40 split folding rear seat allows easy stowage of larger items like a bike or surfboard. The central hatch lets you carry long items such as skis. With all rear seats folded down there is also room to carry bulkier objects.

PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM

The Pre-Collision System can now even detect pedestrians at night and bicycles during daytime. The camera sensitivity and dynamic range have been enhanced to help reduce accidents in the dark, for example, when a pedestrian in front of an oncoming vehicle is difficult to see due to the vehicle’s lights.

LANE TRACING ASSIST

This latest technology helps keep the RX in the centre of the lane and can assist around tight bends. If the system determines there is a possibility of the RX departing from the lane, it switches to departure prevention control, helping return the car to the centre of the lane.

A world-first technology on the new RX, light from 12 LEDs is projected onto the blades of a circular mirror rotating at 6,000 rpm, and then through a lens. BladeScan™ TYPE AHS (Adaptive High-beam System) helps the driver recognise pedestrians and road signs more clearly and at a greater distance, yet without dazzling oncoming cars.

RX 300 PETROL TURBO / RX 450h SELF-CHARGING HYBRID

Powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine, with either All-Wheel- or Front-Wheel Drive, the new RX 300 offers a lively turbocharged drive, with lower consumption. The RX 450h Self-Charging Hybrid, meanwhile, intelligently combining a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine with two electric motors, offers great performance yet is kind to the environment.
