L-FINESSE ART EXHIBITION
Pursuing the L-finesse message through different artists, Lexus has participated in the Milan Design Week since 2005.
At the 2009 Milan Design Week, Lexus exhibited a ground-breaking, L-finesse inspired work by the highly acclaimed architect Sou Fujimoto. Entitled Lexus L-finesse ‘crystallised wind’, this machined and moulded acrylic art piece based on the Lexus LFA is a re-interpretation of the ambivalence of the Lexus ‘L-finesse’ design philosophy. The life-size model weighs an impressive 4.299kg, including the steel platform on which it is built. Lexus also displayed a specially designed furniture piece constructed from acrylic.
The exhibition ran between 22 and 26 April in Milan's Museo della Permanente art gallery, during the world's largest design exhibition, the Salone del Mobile di Milano.
