ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Using advanced millimetre-wave radar technology, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) can adjust the speed of the IS in relation to a vehicle ahead.
The pre-set cruising speed is maintained until the radar detects a slower moving vehicle in front, when ACC reduces the speed of the IS accordingly. The driver then has the option to select a set vehicle-to-vehicle following distance. Radar technology feeds information to the throttle and braking systems, so the distance selected can automatically be maintained to the vehicle ahead.
The system’s control status is clearly displayed on the car’s Multi-Information Display. Once the road is clear again, ACC smoothly returns the IS to the original cruising speed.
Please note: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is available in combination with Pre-Crash Safety (PCS) as a cost option on the IS 250 F-Sport model.
