Lexus by far the best premium brand in Consumer Reports' 2011 Annual Car Reliability
Lexus climbed 7 positions to reach overall 2nd position in the 2011 Annual Car Reliability Survey published recently by the US independent organisation Consumer Reports. Lexus is only topped by Scion, the brand developed by Toyota Motor Corporation for the North American Market, which retained its position as most reliable brand overall.
Lexus' excellent result is partly due to the impressive performance of the new Lexus CT 200h, which has been rated as the most reliable model among all vehicles tested in the survey.
This survey confirms Lexus' real-life leadership in quality and reliability, as well as the superior quality of vehicles equipped with Lexus Hybrid Drive, such as the Lexus CT 200h.
Customer Reports' Car Reliability Survey Findings are based on responses on 1.3 million vehicles owned or leased by subscribers to Consumer Reports or ConsumerReports.org. Conducted by Consumer Reports’ National Survey Research Centre, the survey covers model years 2002 to 2011. The Toyota brand retained its 6th position in the 2011 survey.
