Lexus Ireland is a 100% Irish owned company which is responsible for the distribution of vehicles to our dealer network nationwide, as well as providing dealer and customer support.
We recognise that our daily business and dealer network activities have a significant impact on the environment. As such we are committed to ensuring that environmental issues will be an integral and fundamental aspect of our daily business and that of our dealer network. This policy statement applies therefore to the internal operations and client activities of Lexus Ireland throughout Ireland.
We are committed to continually pursuing improvements in environmental performance, including environmental objectives in our yearly Group/ Division/ Department targets which will have a direct/ indirect impact on our environmental performance. We commit to adhering to the “New Toyota Earth Charter” and strive to achieve the objectives put forward by Toyota Motor Corporation in their environmental action plans. We aim to prevent pollution through the design and implementation of our projects, with the aim to operate our business in a sustainable manner.
Lexus Ireland endeavours to achieve this through the development and implementation of an environmental management system, in accordance with the requirements of the International Environmental Management Standard IS EN ISO 14001:2004. This is the mechanism through which we set, review and implement timetabled environmental objectives and targets.
We seek to comply with pertinent environmental legislation, regulations and all voluntary agreements concerning our activities whilst delivering quality products and service efficiently, cost effectively and with the minimum disruption to the environment. We aim to limit our impact to the environment from our activities by using best environmental practices and promote openness and dialogue with our employees, clients, suppliers and other interested parties to ensure all environmental issues are addressed. Lexus Ireland also commits to promoting and supporting businesses that contribute toward improvement of environmental performance.
Our Environmental Policy has been defined by company senior management, is reviewed for continuing suitability at regular intervals and is displayed, communicated to all our employees and copies are available to the public on request.
